Rooted and Grounded in Love

Welcome to our May 2021 VLOG newsletter!

The last couple of weeks I have been working on a message, and I want to share some small pieces of that message with you today!

First, I want you to know, from my heart, that you are amazing, valuable, and precious people that God loves dearly. We simply cannot forget that God is so good. And so our life with Him is so good. That isn’t to say that we aren’t facing challenges or difficulties. This life is messy. But YOU are an overcomer because of Christ in you. Please don’t forget that!

Ephesians 3:14-18 (NIV)

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power…

Verse 17 struck me in a different way than it has before. What challenges my heart here is that we are called to be in faith. And what Paul is saying in this verse, just like a fact, is that we are rooted and grounded in love. So here’s the thought, if we are rooted and grounded in love, then faith works.

We’ve tried to do faith in our own way, by our own ability. But what this verse explains is that if we are rooted and grounded in love, faith just works.

What about this? Are you rooted and grounded in love? And if not, can you further embrace the truth and love that is in you via Christ.

Never forget, you are valuable, precious, God loves you.
